Sketch Saturday

Whilst making my Christmas cards I decided to enter Sketch Saturday as it gave me a starting point for my cards.
Heres my entry

The stamp is a Me to You bear from Do Crafts. The backing paper is again from my Trimcraft paperpad. The circle dies are both from Go Kreate and are the perfect size for my smaller stamps.
Hope you like it!

Last Minute Cards

Here are some of my last minute Christmas Cards, You might be able to tell I've just bought my first Cuttlebug dies! I was dying to use them as soon as possible and think circles just look nicer than straight edges, don't you? And they fit in my doilies perfectly so I can finally use some of them up :)

Ive used the Santa me to you stamp, Martha Stewart Arctic Snowflake and Craftwork Cards Card Candy in the centre. The flowers are both from Wild Orchid Crafts and the beautiful backing papers are from an old Papermania range called Exquisite. (They are so nice I had to order a new pack whilst I could still find it hehe!) The lace and ribbon are both from my stash.

This card was made using Gorjuss Girl decoupage and was part of a sheet that had three other images on (which I am yet to use). I just love this girl, and so have the stamp too, although I like decoupage (as its quick!) I think the stamp is much nicer as you can see the detail of her hair. The doily was from a great set which I think I aquired from eBay. The pink backing paper is from a Trimcraft paper pad. You will be seeing much more of this pad as I bought three as I love the colours so much!

This card hasn't photographed too well as the reds are much brighter really. I'm not sure where I got this stamp from as I found it when sorting out my craft room last week. The backing paper is a sheet from Kaisercraft and the gingham is craft creations papers.

UFOs

Ive finally started some of my UFOs (unfinished objects), and Ive actually FINISHED some of them :D I'm really please with how my wizard and snowman came out. Both are Alan Dart patterns from Simply Knitting.

Today's been wasted waiting for the boiler man to come, so to pass the time I made one of my Christmas presents (nothing like leaving things to the last minute lol). I'm really pleased with how quick it knit up and the finished things, but I'm yet to find the perfect eyes so I will have to take a photo later. Ive also started tidying the craft room!! I might finally be motivated, or maybe it was because I need to make my Christmas cards but can't find anything I need.
As a result I had to buy some digi stamps (hehe).

A year of Creature Socks.....

I can't believe its nearly a year since I last posted!!
I have been so busy this year everything seems to have taken off and I don't seem to be able to keep up.

This year we have had three new additions to the household.
Sooty (the very naughty) house bunny.

Ralf (the tiny) hamster

and Snowflake (the daft) hamster.

As well as new furries we have had (at the last count) around 200!! sock monkeys come and go this year, as well as many new monsters and toys. I really should start taking photos of all my makes as I think as I look over the year I wouldn't believe how much Ive done.

As a start to the new year I have two new years resolutions. I hope they go better than last years, which lasted till around the end of January! lol.

Number one is to finish ALL the projects that I have started. I have already begun this (quite big!!) project and so far have finished my Dumbledore wizard and my snowman (will post pictures later). I also have quite a big list of other projects which I will put on later to try and motivate myself.

Number two is to try and make wool mountain a bit smaller. As all the Christmas decorations have come out I have had to hide away tidy all my wool that was in the living room to make way for the Christmas tree and decorations. It wasn't until that moment , when it was altogether that I realised quite how much I had!
Next weeks job is to try and put it in some sort of order as at the moment I am totally overwhelmed with the amount of it. I think I need to go to wool addicts anonymous. lol.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday

In 2011 I have decided to get back into card making, as well as knitting and making sock monkeys of course!
This card was created using a Stampavie stamp, the squares are cut using a cuttlebug and one of the label sets. The greetings comes from one of craftwork cards set. I really enjoyed doing something bright and colourful after so many christmas cards! I will be starting on some valentines cards soon I think, and hopefully joining in some blog challenges if I can make the time!
